The Current State:
Across the country, schools face a structural challenge:Â

Many students are disengaged, falling behind, or struggling with emotional and mental health needs that traditional school structures are not designed to address.Â

Large class sizes, fixed schedules, and outdated instructional models cannot provide the level of personalization and engagement many students require.

CHAPTER 07 —
together
MicroSchool Generation works in partnership with schools to imagine, incubate and integrate high-impact microschool environments, sustainably.

We also work directly with visionary educators who wish to launch microschool ventures of their own - with coaching, technical assistance and backend support.
​
Together, we incubate relational, and personalized learning environments that allow students to experience potent academic and emotional growth.
​
In this way we generate new capacity within communities and school systems - to offer children transformational, liberatory micro-learning environments.

CHAPTER 08 —
We re-engage disconnected youth
One important application of this model focuses on students experiencing chronic absenteeism or disengagement from school.
​
We design environments that address the emotional and nervous system dysregulation challenges that many young people are experiencing today.
​
This model offers a transformational pathway for youth who might otherwise enter highly restrictive alternative placements. For the cost of serving three students in a traditional (punitive) alternative school setting, a microschool environment can serve as many as fourteen students - for a year-long transformational experience that dramatically expands impact.
